The Golden Tarot of Tsar is printed with shining gold foil, evocative of the richness of the art of the Tsars. Atanassov meticulously captures the intricate art of the Russian miniaturists who exemplified the art of this time. He also brilliantly merges the archetypes of the Tarot with the histories of Christian saints. Just as the saints achieved spiritual enlightenment and expressed their precepts in their daily actions, so the Tarot helps us access the spiritual and manifest it in our everyday lives.
The companion booklets for most Lo Scarabeo decks are in five languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Tarot Deck

This tarot deck is great for those who love Byzantine artwork or grew up in an Orthodox household or environment. The gold foil on each card conjures up memories of gazing at Orthodox icons. The major arcana depict stories from the Bible. The card stock is a little thinner than many tarot readers may like, but due to the gold foil, this is a deck that will likely need to be handled with care when shuffling or storing. It comes with a little white book (LWB) but doesn't offer much than most other LWBs. However, that's no problem if you get a feel for the cards and use your intuition. The major and minor arcana can also bused for meditation which the major arcana connected to Bible stories can offer more to reflect on. If you love religious icons and Orthodox icons, this is a beautiful deck to add to any collection.
