This morning’s inspiration for our witchcraft blog arrived all the way from Greece via DHL!! Inside our witchcraft supplies store is arguably the best witchcraft apothecary in the Midwest and one of the best stocked wicca apothecary for our pagan online store in the USA… Feeding this important witchcraft apothecary and keeping our witchcraft supplies online store fully stocked is always a challenge.
There are many herb growers and wholesalers and many a witchcraft store online and witchcraft supplies store will buy wholesale witchy herbs to carry a limited range of the most popular herbs… Mugwort, Rose petals, lavender, rosemary…. Important witchcraft herbs that many use in their daily spell casting ritual magick practices. Some of these witchcraft and metaphysical wholesalers are not even herb specialists or growers and just re-bag bulk herbs into display baggies of a half-ounce or so to sell on to witchcraft and wicca stores. Dittany of Crete comes from Crete DUH!!! It grows exclusively on the high cliffs of Crete and in ravines and gullies. It is associated with love magick spellcasting and as an aphrodisiac because young men would risk their lives to climb the cliffs to gather the plants flowers for their lover! It was an act of bravery and dedication! In Cretan folklore, young lovers (Erondades) would risk their lives scaling sheer mountain cliffs and deep gorges to gather this powerful witchcraft herb. As it is native only to the island of Crete, Dittany is locally called Erontas (from Eros, duh, Greek god of love and sex).
