Luna Ignis Morganna Sword Iridescent with serpent guard

This sword, perfect for traditional witchcraft, Asatru, Norse heathenry, Anglo Saxon paganism, high magick, Traditional Witchcraft and wicca was forged by Paul, a practicing pagan witch and ceremonial magician, from a single piece of steel. It took many hours to hammer out and detail, and many more of grinding and polishing!

The blade is Paul’s most popular design… The “Morganna” sword, designed to be as cunning craft and witchy as possible, inspired by Morgayne, Morganna, Morgan Le Fey… It has a triple moon pentacle on the front of the blade and has further been stamped and detailed with Paul's popular "ripples" finish.

The integral guard has been forged to resemble a serpent. It has a small pentacle on the front side of the serpents head.

The blade is iridescent… The light blue and gold colors are caused by tempering.. Which Paul discovered looks gorgeous if you FIRST polish and sharpen the blade, then the patina caused by tempering as the iron changes chemically as it hardens, create this gorgeous “oil on water” effect. Pinks, reds, golds, purples and other colors can be seen also.

NOTE!!! THE BLADE IS SHARP!!!!!! The sword has been hardened and tempered for two hours at 440F!! It is very sharp and will cut!!!

Appox 33 inches in total length, of which the blade is 27 inches.

The handle is gorgeous Purple Heart! This is NOT dyed or stained! Purple heart is a type of American tree whose “heart wood”, the strong wood in the center of the trunck, is a literal gorgeous purple color! Hand carved by Paul, then sanded to an ultra-fine furniture finish of 400 grit. As part of the design process, Paul experimented and had a bolt from the blue… He wondered what might happen if he used the same fine 8000 grit polish buffing compound used for polishing iron blades on the wood… The results are fantastic! The handles look wet, almost translucent. Those who have seen these new metal polished handles say the handle is so smooth and detailed that it looks more like a polished crystal than wood. Paul never varnishes wood, why cover the magnificence of Gaia with nasty human made plastic coatings!

Purple heart’s witchcraft correspondences are excellent. Purple is for the moon and so Purple Heart is perfect for moon magick, luna goddess rituals and wicca! Purple heart is also associated with psychic powers and the development and boosting of psychic powers during ritual witchcraft and spell casting. It is also associated with banishing and protection – making it an excellent sword for circle casting and warding!

In Ceremonial magick and some witchcraft traditions the dagger or sword represents the element of air and therefore used to control, banish or destroy.

In some Wicca traditions the sword represents the element of fire and is perfect for a weapon of manifestation and circle casting.

The Tubal Cain mythos also has iron as a tool of our will and apostasy, Yahweh after the expulsion from Eden told Adam and Eve they would have to scrabble among the thorns for their food... But Tubal Cain, 7th son of Cain had other ideas and discovered the working of iron and became the first blacksmith. To the Tubal Cain currents of witchcraft iron is therefore a tool of our will.

In Traditional English cottage witchcraft the Fae Folk are scared of iron and therefore iron tools can be used to protect against or control the Fae.

Each of Paul's witchcraft swords are unique. There is no plan beforehand, the sword is allowed to manifest as it wills, Paul just helps it along.
